A rules-light dungeon crawl inspired by classic Survival Horror games. Murder Mansion started out as a part-time side project in 2022. Later on, I decided to put in the extra polish to release the game. Lacking any budget, I handled nearly everything myself: writing, game design, layout, and most of the illustrations.
2D game maps for the three sample adventures. After trying a few different processes for the final maps, I found I got the best results using Dungeon Draft, a fantastic program for making TTRPG maps using modular art assets. Most of the maps are made using the default pack-in assets that come with Dungeon Draft. I created a few additional pieces in Affinity Photo.
Some 3D scenes I made as illustrations for the rulebook. I kept the models as simple as possible and the textures low-res to sell the early Playstation-era videogame theme. I modeled everything in Blender and used low-resolution tiling photo textures.
